Terms of use
Last updated 2 November 2026 · This is a translation; if it differs from the Thai version, the Thai version applies.
In short: the free version costs nothing. Premium is a one-time purchase with no refunds. The app works through Windows' sound system only, and you should always listen at a safe volume.
Accepting these terms
By downloading, installing or using FineEQ, you accept the terms on this page. If you do not, please do not use the app and uninstall it.
Your licence
We allow you to use FineEQ on your computers for personal use. This licence cannot be transferred. The number of computers Premium can be used on is stated before sale and on the order page.
You agree not to
- resell, distribute or share Premium with others,
- get around or tamper with the Premium unlock or the trial count,
- remove the copyright or licence notices that come with the app.
Open-source parts
FineEQ installs Equalizer APO, open-source software under the GNU GPL v2, distributed unmodified. Its source code is at sourceforge.net/p/equalizerapo. Your rights under the GPL for that part are not limited by these terms.
The headphone curves come from the AutoEq project under the MIT licence. These terms cover only what FineEQ built itself.
The Premium trial
Each computer can try every Premium feature free for 3 days, once. The trial starts the first time the app is opened with an internet connection. When it ends, the app goes back to the free version at no cost. Reinstalling does not restart it. We may change the trial length for new users, but never shorten a trial that has started.
Premium and payment
Premium costs 99 Thai baht or 2.99 US dollars; pick the currency on the order page. You pay once through Stripe, with no monthly fee, and get FineEQ updates for as long as we keep developing the app. Premium purchases cannot be refunded, except as set out in the refund policy.
To stop stolen cards being used, your bank may ask you to confirm the payment (3D Secure). If a payment is refunded, charged back, or reported as unauthorised use of a card, the key from that order is cancelled, and an account with a chargeback or a fraud report cannot buy Premium again.
Listening safely
The loudness control makes quiet sounds louder. Start at a low volume and raise it slowly, and rest your ears now and then. You are responsible for the volume of your own devices.
Using it with games
FineEQ changes sound through Windows' sound system and never reads or changes any game's files or memory. Still, the rules on extra software belong to each game, so check the policy of the games you play.
Warranty and liability
We work to make FineEQ as good as we can, but provide it as it is. We do not promise it works with every device or game, or sounds the same on every headphone. As far as the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for Premium.
Trademarks
PUBG is a trademark of KRAFTON, Inc. Headphone brands and models belong to their owners. FineEQ is not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.
Changes and governing law
We may change these terms and will show the date they were last updated at the top. These terms are governed by Thai law. Questions? Contact us.
